A 4-day high-profile Dota 2 tournament – here’s everything you need to know about 1win Series Dota 2 Spring.
Popular bookmaker and Russian esports organization, 1win, has kickstarted a high-profile Dota 2 tournament featuring notable tier 1 teams and a $100,000 prize pool. The tournament is called 1win Series Dota 2 Spring, suggesting it’s a part of a Dota 2 tournament series. From March 16 to 19, this tournament will showcase intense online competition throughout a compact 3-day window. Read more about the event below.

The two-time The International champions, Team Spirit, and Western Europe juggernauts, Team Liquid, are among the teams that are taking part in the 1win Series Dota 2 Spring. Group Stage
The Group Stage will be a BO1 phase. Four teams in each group will collect points to advance to the Playoffs. In each group, the top two survive, meanwhile the bottom two face elimination.
Playoffs
The Playoffs have only four remaining teams. It starts on the Semifinals and after that, we head straight into the Grand Finals.
The result for the first Semifinals series is a shocker! Virtus.pro upsets the two-time TI champions, Team Spirit to advance to the Grand Final. The 0-2 defeat knocked Spirit to fight for the third-place. Next was also an upset as Entity took down Liquid 2-0. It will be a grand finals of dark horses as Virtus.pro takes on Entity for the title of champions. On the other hand, Spirit and Liquid will clash for the third-place position.
Ultimately, Entity wins the championship, defeating VP 3-1. The third-place clash ended in favor for Team Liquid as they take the series 2-1.
Prize pool distribution
This tournament will only reward prize money to the final four teams. With a total of $100,000 on the line, the champion of 1win Series Dota 2 Spring will take home $50,000 - half of the prize pool. The runner-up will claim $30,000, followed by $15,000 in the third place. The fourth place will take the remaining $5,000.
