How to play Hardpoint in Call of Duty

Hardpoint is a team-based game mode in CoD. A capture point, known as a hardpoint, will spawn and remain active for a short time. Your team scores a point for every second spent in the zone.

No points are scored if both allies and enemies are in the zone — you must eliminate all targets nearby before you’re able to begin scoring. After the hardpoint expires, the next hardpoint opens elsewhere on the map.

This is repeated until teams score 250 points or the 10-minute mark is hit. In most cases, all hardpoints on a map will have been active. Once the last hardpoint deactivates, the first activates, and you repeat the order again.

It’s in Hardpoint where your objective-based streaks and equipment shine. Items like radar jammers or trophy systems are key, as teams will often throw heaps of grenades at the target to get you off it. UAVs and detection streaks are more beneficial here than in your standard TDM game.
