Star war : The Last Jedi may or may not answer the question of where Supreme Leader Snoke fall from , but it ’s probable to explain what makes him tick and why he ’s so implausibly take a leak off . Andy Serkis , who does the motion - capture public presentation behind Snoke , is already giving a few hints .
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , Serkis explain a flake about what ’s happened to the baddie prior to the Modern trilogy :
The thing about Snoke is that he is exceedingly hard with the Force , the dark side of the Force . He ’s abominably hefty , of course . But he is also a very vulnerable and wounded character . He has suffer and he has endure injury . The way that his malevolency comes out is in reaction to that . His hate of the Resistance is fueled by what ’s happened to him personally .

One of the thing that ’s happening to him personally in The Last Jedi is that he ’s palpate letdown over the development of his pupil , Kylo Ren .

“ He ’s slightly oligarch , ” Serkis tell . “ You know , he ’s not afraid of showing his fineries . There is a luxury that ’s aboriginal to him … The means that his Margaret Court is present , he ’s very totalitarian in that way and flamboyant . He enjoy that staginess , I retrieve . ”
