Like a celestial Rorschach test , I can see so many thing when I stare at this wonderful exposure captured by the Hubble Space Telescope . It ’s like static on a TV . Or like a crowded next metropolis get down by buildings stacked on buildings . But what it really is is even nerveless : it ’s the first time pictures have been taken of white midget stars migrating from the center of a hotshot cluster to the outskirts .
The motion-picture show show the white dwarf stars of whiz cluster 47 Tucanae , which is home base to hundreds of one thousand of stars some 16,700 lightheaded years away . NASA writes :
White dwarfs are the burned - out token of hotshot that rapidly lose mass , cool down and shut out off their nuclear furnaces . As these shine carcasses years and shed weight , their orbits start to expand outwards from the star cluster ’s jam-packed downtown . This migration is triggered by a gravitative tussle among stars inside the cluster .
