In the first competition,Zach Cornell found Julie and won $10,000.
In the second competition,Jimmy Heagerty identified a missing HOH relic and won the privilege of choosing four people to compete in the HOH competition. He selected himself, Adrian Rocha, Ashley Hollis, and Vince Panaro.

TheBig Brother 27premiere revealed that the first HOH is Vince. Vince won the competition, which required him, Adrian, Ashley, and Jimmy to balance weights on three bars. After he won, Julie told the houseguests that the AI Arena twist, in which the HOH has to nominate three houseguests who’ll compete for safety on eviction night, is back but renamed as the BB Blockbuster.
BeforeBig Brother 27began, in an interview withPluto TV(shared via Instagram),Vince shared that he’d do his best to play an honest game rather than a ruthless one. However, he admitted that his plan could go out the window depending on the personalities of his fellow houseguests. He said that he’d adapt and figure it out along the way. It’ll be interesting to see what path Vince takes as the first HOH.
TheBig Brother 27premiere also revealedBig Brother 13winner Rachel Reilly as the Mystery Houseguest. However, she isn’t the 17th houseguest. Instead,one of the original 16 newBig Brother 27houseguests was revealed to be the Mastermind’s Accomplice. If the other houseguests figure out their identity, then they’ll automatically be evicted. If they don’t, then they’ll become the 17th houseguest.

Vince’s Nominee Might Not Be the First Evictee
It’s very intriguing that Vince’s nominee might not be the first houseguest to be evicted from theBig Brother 27house because, if the Accomplice is uncovered, that person will leave first. However, no matter what happens to the Accomplice,Vince now has the responsibility of nominating three people for eviction due to the BB Blockbuster.
Although, unlike some of his fellowBig Brother 27houseguests,Vince wanted to win the first HOH competition to guarantee his safety during the first week, he also worried about the fact that at least two of his nominees would be staying in the house: the BB Blockbuster winner and the non-evicted houseguest. Therefore, he could create some enemies right off the bat.
Never mind that Vince didn’t even mention the Power of Veto, which could mean that another one of his nominees would be safe if anyone used it. This means thatVince is in a tricky position as the first HOH of the season.
Our Take On Vince Being The First Big Brother 27 HOH
I’m glad that Vince won the firstBig Brother 27HOH competition. He went from delivering food to the CBS lot and dreaming of living in theBig Brotherhouse to being the first HOH. Currently unemployed,Vince really wants to win the $750,000 prize.
It was refreshing to see Vince already fighting for the grand prize when many of his fellow houseguests threw the first competitions and didn’t even want to play in the first HOH game because they wanted to play it safe the first week. However, Vince will have to be very careful with his nominees becausehe could make himself a target in week 2 if he makes any missteps.
Although it might make sense for the houseguests to team up against Rachel because she’s such aBig Brotherlegend,I hope that Vince doesn’t take that route.Rachel won every endurance competitionin which she competed during her time on the show. She’s also reality TV royalty, having competed onThe Amazing Race, Celebrity Fear Factor, Snake in the Grass,The Traitors,andWorst Cooks in America.
Therefore,Vince might be smarter to make an ally of Racheland to try to evict one of the new houseguests that he sees as a threat. This is especially true because she has a great chance of winning either the Power of Veto or the BB Blockbuster competition and saving herself from the chopping block anyway.
I think thatVince is going to be a force to be reckoned with duringBig Brother 27.He’s calm and cool in competitions, seems to have a great social game so far, and is very intelligent. It’s going to be exciting to see who Vince nominates for eviction as the firstBig Brother 27HOH.
