Everyone’s favorite new Dragonflight dog the Bakar is coming as a mount if new PTR datamining is any indicator. Let’s look at the colors.
Alright, real talk: Everyone knows that the best new questline in Dragonflight is theTaivan’s Purpose. Featuring everyone’s favorite himbo Centaur dog Taivan, it left everyone with one question. When can we get a Bakar mount?Dragonflighthas you covered as it appears multiple colors of the big, lovable doggo areon the PTR for patch 10.0.7.
Sadly, there’s no word or hint of how the Bakar mount may turn up in Dragonflight once the patch hits. But that can’t stop me from preemptively naming him Sir Woofington and crying tears of joy.
Let’s take a look at the various colors revealed through the datamine.
Bakar mounts abound
The Bakar species is one of the standout new creatures found on the Dragon Isles, centered in the Ohn’ahran Plains. Used as everything from shepherds to emergency-rescue workers, it was only a matter of time until a Bakar could be a player mount. In the case of our good friend Taivan, his best skills involve hugs, tummy rubs, and being really good at dragging people out of burning buildings.
The multiple color variants feels like a return to the old-school method of mounts. It was common in the early days of the game that four to six colors for a single mount would be up for purchase. In the case of more recent mount implementation, it tends to be different levels of Renown or given out in event caches. It’s entirely possible players will head back to the Plains for a new event, much like the recent Primalist Future additions.
