Christopher Nolan’sTenetis getting another chance on the big screen.
The limited-timeTenetre-release will include exclusive footage fromDune: Part Two, which rolls out in theaters March 1.
Writer-director Nolan, 53, said in a statement Thursday, “Seeing the way audiences responded to our large format presentations ofOppenheimer, I’m thrilled that Warner Bros. is giving audiences a chance to seeTenetthe way it was intended to be seen, on the largest IMAX and large-format film screens, and I’m honored to have our movie warm up the film projectors for Denis’ jaw-droppingDune: Part Two.”
Dune: Part Twodirector Denis Villeneuve added that he has “always valued Chris’s forward thinking when it comes to shooting on film and especially in large formats.”

“As directors, we are completely in sync; onDune, we shot several sequences for IMAX, and I simply loved it, so forDune: Part Twowe pushed it to 100 percent of the movie,” he added of the sequel, which stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.

“Working with the IMAX format was the only way to capture the experience of Arrakis, Giedi Prime and the Imperium for audiences,” said Villeneuve. “That is why I am just as eager to seeTenetagain, but now in 70mm IMAX, the way they filmed it, to fully appreciate his vision for this incredible film.”
The cast ofTenetalso includes Elizabeth Debicki, Himesh Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.

Nolan’sOppenheimerset IMAX records last year, and earlierthis week it earned the most Oscar nominations of the yearwith 13 total, including Best Picture.
“I grew up loving Hollywood movies and believing studio filmmaking can take on anything,” Nolan told theAssociated Pressafter the Academy Award nominations. “Seeing audiences respond to that this summer was incredibly thrilling, and getting this kind of recognition from the Academy, I don’t know what to say, really. It certainly confirms our faith in what studio filmmaking can be.”
