There are no hard feelings betweenEmma Slaterand her exSasha Farber.
Slater, 34, shared that being a pro dancer alongside Farber, 39, onDancing with the Starsis “not a nightmare at all” more than six months aftershe filed for divorce.
“We support each other so much that I want the very best for Sasha,” she toldE! News. “I love him andAlyson [Hannigan]together on the show. We support each other, very, very truly.”

The television personality admitted both she and Farber step in to help choreograph dances for their respective season 32 partners,Mauricio Umanskyand Hannigan, despite vying for the mirror ball against each other.
“I’ll help him with his dance and he’ll help me with my dance. We do that, all us pros together,” she added. “I don’t feel that competition at all with him.”
“We’re still like family, so it isn’t really like the love is not there, it’s actually not that at all,” she said in August. “We’re just at potentially two different places. But the hard part was that the love actually didn’t go [away].”
“It’s really the kid thing. It’s interesting because I do want to have kids, I just don’t want to delay Sasha’s path in having kids because I know that he is ready for that. I don’t want to talk about him too much because that’s really for him to say, but it’s about kids.”
She continued: “I do want kids. I don’t know what it is, I’m just figuring that out for myself. It’s not something I take lightly and I don’t want to enter into something that I’m not sure about because I would never do that.”
Slater further explained that she and Farber had conversations about family planning throughout their time together but she felt a “resistance” in the time before their breakup.

“So, that’s been the real friction and the real hard part,” she said. “It had nothing to do with him. He’s always been very much himself. It’s me that’s found it difficult to understand why I’m feeling different.”
The couple wed in 2018 after years of dating. Their engagement happenedduring a live tapingofDWTSin October 2016. News broke of their separation in August 2022, though PEOPLE confirmed the legal date of separation was April 1, 2022.
“Emma and Sasha still remain close,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE at the time. “There’s no bad blood between them.”
