Two beautiful adventurers haunt the steam - burrow of Kraang , arm only with pulse - lasers and wearing their protective fishnet stocking and bustier . The New York Pin - Up Club turned its red-blooded eye to skill - fiction recently , and we ’ve got some of the loveliest pics .
fit in to organizer and lensman Brandon Herman , the bowling pin - up club foregather last month for a marathon six - hour photo shoot ( not including the time it took to build the stage set ) . Around ten models and between 30 and 40 lensman took part , which was more lensman than usual , and way more than Herman ever expected to show up . The photographers and models broke up into smaller groups , and tried to make trusted every photographer worked with every model .
Some of the shoot ’s highlight include Herman ’s assistant organiser and super democratic model , Sin Dee , consistence - paint to look like a cute alien . Also , make - up creative person and sometime manakin Jessica Jade Jacob had built a robot for an art competition at Carnegie Mellon University . The availability of her robot in reality inspired Herman and friends to do a scientific discipline - fable melodic theme night , and Jacob include some photos from the shoot in her intro at CMU , which gain ground some laurels there .

Our biggest influence was no one film in finicky ; it was more our impression of those cheesy L films in world-wide . For research , I did watch a few golden oldie , including one called The Phantom Empire , which feature Gene Autry ( the “ telling cowboy ” ) trying to deliver his cattle farm from the sophisticated airstream of existence living below it in an underground city . But I ’m a huge buff of sci - fi so i ’m already very conversant with the elan of things like Buck Rogers , Flash Gordon , Barbarella , Captain Video , Ed Wood , etc .
He adds that they ’ll likely do another science fiction photoshoot in a yr or 18 month . Meanwhile , they have some other incredible shoot plan . “ Soon we will be out at the American Airpower Museum where our models can pose with vintage WWII aircraft in a huge hangar on a working track .
