The Scattered to the Winds event will debut Shiny Scatterbug into Pokémon GO. This is a hugely exciting debut, with several regional variants to collect. Trainers have asked for Shiny Scatterbug for what feels like forever, and now those with completed Vivillon Collections have something to sink their teeth into.

The Scattered to the Winds event will run from Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, Jul 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

When this event starts, shiny catterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon make their Shiny debuts in Pokémon GO! verify to pin postcards from Trainers all over the world to get encounters with Scatterbug.Pokémon GO’s Blog Post hints at an increased chance to get Shiny Scatterbug, so pin those postcards!

Guaranteed Lucky Trades
When this event starts, the number of guaranteed Lucky Pokémon a Trainer can receive in a trade goes up from 25 to 35. Plus, from Tuesday, Feb. 18 if you trade a Pokémon that has been in a Trainer’s Pokémon storage since 2019, it is guaranteed to become a Lucky Pokémon until the limit is reached. Check your oldest Pokémon!
