LeBron James Fortnite skin becomes a reality
NBA superstar Lebron James becomes the latest global sports icon to be added to Fortnite. His arrival to the Battle Royale game is conveniently timed to tie into the launch of his new movie Space Jam: A New Legacy (Space Jam 2) in theatres worldwide.
LeBron James will arrive in the Item Shop on July 14th as part of the King James Gear Bundle, which includes two separate outfits. “Stylish and imposing, the LeBron James Outfit blends the best of LeBron’s on-court and pre-game persona,” said Epic Games in theirofficial announcementpost. For both outfits LeBron James will be sporting his new signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 19.
The LeBron James Fortnite skin does look incredibly slick, definitely more so thanNeymar Jr skinreleased in June. Back in May, Epic Games did a Fortnite xNBA crossoverto celebrate the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

Epic Games was also keen to add that the outfits, Back Bling, Pickaxe and Wingspan all featured a “progressive edit slider”. In other words you can specify what variation of gold you want. The developer kindly shared a demo:

As mentioned earlier, LeBron James' new movie Space Jam: A New Legacy will hit cinemas on July 16th. As part of a tie-in, Epic Games shared that a Tune Squad LeBron will be purchasable ahead of the premiere of the action/animated film.
The Tune Squad Lebron Outfits are more playful, and most likely targeting the younger player base which the movie is aimed at.
