How to add friends in Apex Legends, including through Steam and cross-play, as well as how to invite friends to your lobby.

Apex Legends is definitely a game to be enjoyed with friends, especially when you’re playing ranked or even if you just want to triple stack and pub stomp. You can queue up with two friends, and thankfully with cross-play, it’s easier than ever to play together despite owning different consoles. Players from the following platforms can queue up together; Steam and Origin on PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch.

Here are a couple ways you can add friends so you can play Apex Legends together.

How to invite a friend to your Apex Legends lobby

1.     Launch Apex Legends

2.     Click on the + button on either side of your Legend in the lobby

3.     Right click on your friends profile to invite them to your lobby

Add a friend through Apex Legends directly

2.     Click on the “Friends” button in the bottom right of the lobby

3.     Click on the “Find Friend” button on the bottom left of the screen

4.     Search for your friend by typing in their username

5.     Left click on your friend’s profile to send a friend request

6.     Invite them to your lobby and ready up!

Add a friend through Steam

2.     Make sure your Apex Legends account is connected to your Steam account

3.     If your Steam account is not connected, link by clicking on the “Friends” icon in the lobby and then on the “Link Steam Account” button on the left of your screen

4.     Once your account is connected, you’ll be able to see all your friends that play Apex Legends on Steam on your Friends list

5.     Invite your friends and ready up!

4.     Search for your friend by typing in their username or email address
