While working your way through theWachumeqimeqi Deliveriesside quests inFinal Fantasy XIV, you’re going to find yourself wondering where to get certain ingredients. One of these ingredients isn’t new, but procuring it can be confusing.
Tallow Candles are not a new material inFFXIV. They’ve been around since the introduction ofHeavenswardand are mostly used in low to mid-level crafting recipes, particularly indoor and outdoor lighting items. However, this old ingredient is now a key part of XRral Soj’s Metalwares quests inDawntrail.

Tallow Candles cannot be crafted, regardless of your level or which Master Recipes books you own, and they also can’t be gathered anywhere. As such, your first instinct might be to run to the Marketboard, but this could get expensive – especially considering the fact that you only need six Candles, and they tend to be sold in stacks of 99.
Rather than throw a large chunk ofGilaway on far more Tallow Candles than you need, you just need to do a little traveling away from Tuliyollal and back to the more familiar surroundings of Eorzea or The First.
