To unlock the Proximity Mine, you need to deal 1,000 Damage with devices. You don’t need to deal this amount of damage all in one match, it should be relatively easy to complete this challenge.
If you’re new to XDefiant, you’ll soon realize that you’ll need to complete many other challenges to unlock Factions, weapons, devices, and more.

The best way to effectively deal damage with devices in XDefiant without the Proximity Mine is to toss Frag Grenades at your opponents during matches as you’ll eventually hit the 1,000 Damage mark.
To do that, ensure you equip the Frag Grenade in your loadout before heading to a match. Then, use the Frag Grenade when a good opportunity arises, like a bunch of enemies gathering up in one place.
