Counter Strike 2

News

The community has already found some unique and rather amusing interactions on the map.

Valve has released the long-awaited Italy to Counter-Strike 2 players. The CS2 Italy addition, however, is just one of the many changes in the latest update.

With Italy’s addition, the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test removesAnubis and Ancientfrom the game. The two maps were added a few weeks ago as part of the game’s beta. Italy joins Counter-Strike 2’s Deathmatch and Casual game modes.

Italy is a hostage map where players have to rescue hostages. The rounds are usually much longer in hostage maps. Along with its release, there have been quite a few upgrades to the map’s graphics with new lighting and textures. There are also some changes with new connectors and approach routes for the map.

And finally, there are also new ways for you to destroy the fruits in the market. In CS:GO, they would simply explode, but in Counter-Strike 2 you can slice them, giving you Fruit Ninja vibes.

The community finds undocumented changes

Meanwhile, the community has been busy trying to find changes that are not in the patch notes. The fruit interactions mentioned above are definitely part of that, but a Redditor (/u/Sandyzx) has already found a rather overpowered boost on the map.

Using a total of four players near the Terrorist Spawn, you can climb on top of the roofs which gives you unrestricted movement across the map. Obviously, this is not a location the Counter-Terrorists will check as it’s supposed to be impossible to reach there. We expect Valve to patch this bug very soon.
