The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 enters its second week as the League of Legends Group Stage kicks off. Eight teams will battle it out for a spot in the Playoffs, but only four will advance. Here is everything you need to know about League of Legends at the Esports World Cup 2025.

Format
In the Group Stage, eight teams will clash for just four Playoff spots. Group A features FlyQuest, Cloud9, FURIA, and G2 Esports, while Group B brings together CTBC Flying Oyster, Hanwha Life, Movistar KOI, and GAM Esports. All Group Stage matches will be played as best-of-one (Bo1) and are scheduled for July 16, except for the Lower Bracket Final, which will happen on July 17.
So far, four teams have already secured their spots in the Playoffs: Gen.G Esports, Bilibili Gaming, All Gamers Global, and T1. Moving forward, all Playoff matches will be played in a best-of-three (Bo3) format, with the exception of the Grand Finals. The action officially kicks off on July 17, setting the stage for an intense battle to the top.
