Last month, I reviewed an auto-scrolling runner game for the iPhone calledCurio. I wasn’t too kind with my judgment, much to the disappointment of the title’s main developer Rube Rubenstein. At the end of the day, though, there are no hard feelings between Rube and myself. However, just for a little playful ribbing, Rube decided to honor me with a personalized achievement.

How do you earn the “Anthony Ponce Award”? By dying on the first level. Yep, sounds about right!

This new achievement was added as part of a major update that went live today. The tweaks help to mitigate a bunch problems players had with the original build, so while I still am not in love with the game, a few of my frustrations have been lessened in intensity. I thank Rube for being such a good sport and am greatly honored to join the ranks of game journalists who have been added to videogames by doing pretty much nothing at all!

Oh, and Tommy Wiseau played the game as well. Yeah, that’s a thing. It’s after the jump.
