Los Angeles was hit with a 3.9-magnitude earthquake following theAcademy Awardson Sunday, March 2.
The Los Angeles Fire Departmentwroteon X (formerly Twitter) that they were “not entering earthquake mode.”
Local authorities received no immediate calls for medical assistance or damage, according to reports.

The latest earthquake in L.A. comes after an earthquake in Northern California raised a tsunami warning on Dec. 5, 2024. The warning ended after no destruction was reported in the area following the earthquake.
The earthquake was reported at a magnitude of 7.0, according to theNational Tsunami Warning Centerand the United States Geological Survey. A second 5.8-magnitude earthquake also hit Cobb,The Los Angeles Timesreported.
