Here is everything you need to know about MW2’s 2022 spec ops mode.
On top of the campaign and multiplayer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will launch with a thirdmodecalled Spec Ops. This is a co-op mode that’s been in previous Modern Warfare games, including three missions at launch.
What is Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops
Infinity Ward hasdescribedSpec Ops as an “evolution” of the original Modern Warfare in 2019. It’s a co-op experience that will start with three missions when the game launches. All three missions will take place in Al Mazrah.

Throughout each mission, operators will have access to a backpack that allows them to store equipment and one of three kits, similar to what’s available in multiplayer. Here are three kits:
Players level up in Spec Ops by earning stars in each mission. There are challenges to complete within each mission, which means you can replay them for extra stars. attempt to complete each mission with three stars.
“We highly recommend completing all three Special Ops missions with three stars and have at least one Kit leveled up to Tier 5 before Raids, a direct continuation of the Campaign, are introduced to Special Ops later in Season 01,” developers explained.
