NRG was part of Group A where they faced the likes of Cloud9 and FURIA. Their inaugural match against FURIA resulted in a 2-0 victory for the team. They also had a 2-0 win over Cloud9, both series demonstrating their team synergy and impressive performance.
Meanwhile, Sentinels had to contend with series against LOUD and 100 Thieves in Group B. The team finished second, which meant they went through the Play-In where they faced off against G2 esports and MIBR to claim their Playoffs spot. Sentinels won 2-0 versus MIBR but lost 1-2 to G2 esports. Despite the loss, Sentinels had the better round differential which allowed them to secure the sole playin slot into the playoffs.
