OG will soon announce its new carry player.
The prominent two-time The International (TI) winning organization, OG Esports, has just made a significant change to its Dota 2 roster. Following a lackluster performance in BetBoom Dacha Dubai, OG decided to part ways with its carry, Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev, marking the end of their two-year journey together.

Theofficial announcementby OG reads: “Today, Yuragi has officially been moved to our inactive roster. He has been an integral part of our success in OG 2.0, showcasing exceptional skill, dedication and passion. Two years and two trophies later, we’re so grateful for our journey. Thank you for everything Yuragi!”
This roster change comes five days after the conclusion of BetBoom Dacha Dubai - the first premier LAN Dota 2 tournament of 2024. OG had a great start to the year, qualifying into two out of three major events. But their performance took a hit once they sit among the global juggernauts in BetBoom Dacha, failing to make it out of the Group Stage.

A look back to Yuragi’s time with OG
Yuragi, a 22-year old Ukrainian, made his reputation known when he first entered OG in 2021. Dubbed as the new-generation OG, or OG 2.0, this team fielded new names that was initially doubted by the community. But Yuragi and OG would rose to fame as they bagged two tier 1 tournaments in 2022 - ESL One Stockholm Major and ESL One Malaysia.
However, the glorious days then stumbled upon a sour period. In 2023, OG faced one of its worst years, failing to qualify for consecutive tournaments. For the first time in the org’s history, OG even failed to enter The International.
Enter 2024, OG saw a good start. The team had a solid showing in both qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha and DreamLeague S22. But a lackluster performance in BetBoom Dacha Dubai, in which OG placed 9th-12th, called for some changes.
Both Yuragi and OG will part ways ahead of the next big tournament,DreamLeague Season 22. Who will be OG’s next carry player? And where will Yuragi go? The answers will likely be out before DreamLeague begins, February 25th.
