The hits keep on rolling for Sony’s PS3. Earlier this week, we learned that the PS3 Slim wasselling like crazy in the UK, and it’s now become known that around40,000 of themhave made their way into the hands of British consumers. With the PS3 increasing its sales by 999%, you could say it’s been a very, very good week for the system.
Sony has not officially revealed sales figures for the PS3 Slim, but it did drop a hint by saying that sales were 20% behind the PS2 Slim’s when that system launched in 2004. A short round of mathematics later, and we know the ballpark figure for the PS3 Slim — 40,000.

It’s not quite as impressive as the150,000-strong Japanese figure, but the numbers are nothing to sniff at. Sony’s done good this time, and for that it deserves a golf clap.
