The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) mobile game has announced some details leading into the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) group draw. Read on for the 2024 PMWC group draw details and more.
PMWC 2024 group draw
According to an official announcement, the 2024 PMWC group draw will happen on June 25. This draw will result in 24 teams getting divided into three groups. At stake will be a spot in the PMWC 2024 Main Stage, which will also be a part of the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC).
In terms of how the group draw will work, the 24 qualifying teams will be split evenly into Group Red, Green, and Yellow. There will also be a system in place to ensure the representation of different regions per group.
“If a group already consists of a majority of a team’s country, that team will then be placed in the next available group,” the announcement explained. It then detailed how the PMWC 2024 Group Stage will see the top 12 teams across all of these groups head to the PMWC 2024 Main Stage. As for the remaining teams, they will duke it out in the PMWC 2024 Survival Stage for another chance at a post.
PMWC 2024: All qualified teams
The PMWC 2024 event will take place from July 19 to July 28, featuring 28 teams competing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
