Tamron Hallis opening up about how she’s protecting her son.
While speaking withThe Sprucefor their Fall in Love with Color issue, theTamron Hallhost, 53, revealed that she was working on creating a safe space and a safe community for her 4-year-old son Moses.
“I’m trying to teach him to be as confident outside of our home as he is inside,” she told the publication. “He recognizes this safe space and we all do. We all have that circle of friends we trust where we can be ourselves and family.”

“We have all these environments of safety where we show up as our authentic selves. I try to teach him through my own experiences how to do that, and he’s 4.”
Elsewhere in the article, Hall also admitted that she was turning part of her dressing room from Moses' nursery to a shoe room. “When things changed and he went off to day school, it was like when you go off to school and your parents change your room,” she joked.
“We got rid of his stuff, and it became the shoe room.”

In 2021, the proud mom spoke with PEOPLE on an episode of PEOPLE’s podcastMe Becoming Momandrevealed that she cried when she found out she was having a son.
The doctor said it was a boy and Hall said she “started crying.”
“I started crying because I saw all of my fashion future float [away],” she told PEOPLE at the time.“That sounds so vain, but it’s true. And my husband said, ‘I will one day tell Moses that you did that.’ I’m like, ‘No, it’s just tears! I visualize myself walking around with a little girl dressed exactly like me!'”
“Which is so funny now that I have a son,” Hall added, “and I don’t like to get into gender labels — but it’s funny now that I have a son, I could not imagine anything other than what I have.”
