PEOPLE can reveal that that theFlip or Flopstar is launching a solo project to premiere in 2019. The still-untitled show will follow El Moussa, 37, as he mentors rookie house flippers and helps them renovate homes for a profit.
“It’s definitely a high stakes flip,” says El Moussa, who also stars alongside his ex-wife Christina onFlip or Flop. “There’s a lot of real-life drama in there. It’s the real deal.”

The shows mark the beginning of a new personal and professional adventure for El Moussa following his and Christina’sdramatic public split in 2016. “I completely rebuilt myself over the last two and a half years,” he says. “Who I am, how I feel, how I think . . . I know what’s good for me.”
He adds, “I have a new life and a bright future.”

Christina, who married her British beau of just over one year,Wheeler Dealershost Ant Anstead, in asurprise wedding in Decemberandchanged her last name to Anstead,also has a solo show set to debut this year.
In June 2018, PEOPLE exclusively reported that Christina was gettingher own design series,Christina On the Coast, in which she’ll document the overhaul of hernew house in Newport Beach, California, and help others redesign their homes with seaside style.

Tarek and Christina insist the upcoming season ofFlip or Flop— which they began filming less than a year afterfinalizing their divorce— was business as usual.
“We’ve worked together for 12 years now,” Christinatold PEOPLE in Augustsaid. “We just really focus on the job at hand, and if we do talk, it’s about the kids.”
The couple share two children — daughter Taylor, 8, and son Brayden, 3 — and have been focused on amicably co-parenting since their split.
“The kids are the most important thing,” Tarek told PEOPLE in 2017. “If mom and dad can’t get along it affects the kids, so mom and dad better get along.”
Theeighth season ofFlip or Flopis set to air in Fall 2019.
