Series breakdown: Draft, net worth, clips

The first game saw an interesting draft from both sides but AG definitely gambled with a Doom position 4 and an unconventional core set of Tinker and Pudge.

The game was a close contest and both teams brought similar aggression but Team SMG constantly had the upper hand in terms of net worth. There were clutch moments for AG such as the insane juke by Yowe.

But Team SMG had the better teamfight outcome as they read AG’s movements. This particular fight sealed the deal for Team SMG as they were able to secure mega-creeps after and end the first game.

The second game sees CDR grab his Morphling once again. Interestingly, Yowe also grabs the unconventional Tinker for the second time.

The second game was a slow burn for Army Geniuses. SMG played with great discipline, asserting control over the map and accumulating a high net worth lead. Army Geniuses tried to play with caution but there was no window for them to recover. It ultimately ended in SMG’s favor and they closed the game at 44 minutes.

This victory confirms a slot at the Berlin Major for Team SMG, the organization’s first appearance at a Dota 2 Major!
