It feels like TEKKEN 8 has been in the middle of big changes since the disastrous release of Season 2. The harsh period is over with an emergency patch and a couple of substantial updates — to fix the fighting game. The next portion of big adjustments is planned for July 7. The pro community doesn’t stop competing even with this rollercoaster, though.

It’s the tournament stage, where only the strongest remain in competition. Reaching so far in the intense battles of TEKKEN 8 The MIXUP 2025 is an achievement on its own. But people tend to remember only the event winners.

The power of Asuka and Tibetano

The Spanish player Tibetano is a true hero of this event. He defeated top international players on the way to victory, and he did that on Asuka, an unusual character for high-level TEKKEN 8 esports tournaments.

Quite interestingly, many players in the final brackets pickedEddy Gordo. One of them is JeonDDing, who still had to switch to Nina in the winners' final and Anna in the decisive round of the grand final reset.
