Trials Frontier’s first week saw six million downloads

A sign of things to come for the series?

While I liked the just-releasedTrials Fusionless than its predecessor, I still enjoyed the game. It’s pretty good, all things considered. I’m less optimistic about the other new series title released this month,Trials Frontier, which hit the App Store on April 10. It’sTrialsbut with the free-to-play microtransaction / energy hooks that keep many of us away from mobile gaming.

“Many of us” meaning people who read sites like this, not the general public — those players can’t seem to get enough of the game. Ubisoft says that in its first week,Trials Frontierwas downloaded more than six million times, earning it the number-one spot in 75 countries and the title of “most first-week downloads of any Ubisoft mobile title to date.”
